nope. the idea of a castle is to protect. if someone has broken the fortification, ya gotta build it better next time. or kill them

Yes! I think sandcastles are pretty and people who step on them should have a time out!

Of course. It is so rude when a little kid makes a beautiful sandcastle, an advanced one at that, and then some punk comes and squishes their castle, along with their dreams. :(

I do think it is pretty mean if it's done intentionally.....but it would be pretty hard to enforce as someone else already said......and sometimes it is an accident......

Here is a sand story I would like to share:

Last yr. on the anniversary of my baby son's birthday (he passed away and would have been 5) we went to the beach with 5 white roses to throw into the ocean. I wrote in the sand....."We love you Matthew" and waited until the tide was almost in and touching the words before I was going to click a pic.....a surfer trying to catch a wave suddenly got up ran to the water and stepped smack dab right in the middle of my message just as I clicked....when my face fell and I said "Oh no!" he profusely apologized....I wrote it again and took another pic.....as the roses washed back up on shore (duh! how dumb of me thinking they were going to just float out to sea without washing back in...) that surfer collected every single one of those roses, got on his board, paddled out as far as he could and let them "go out to sea"......where they stayed.....

I will never forget him or that day. I was the one who actually wound up thanking him - if he hadn't stepped right there at that exact moment we never would have met and if it weren't for him those roses never would have made it far enough out to stay there.....=)

Be blessed all!
