it depends on what you are looking for. jazz is a very put together kind of dancing that combines all different types of dancing into one. Jazz is the kind of dance you see during basketball half time shows and stuff. its great for both beginners and advanced dancers
on the other side hip hop i find kind of challenging.. really its nothing like any other kind of dance. you don't need any kind of flexiblity or dance talent at all. you just kinda have to have that hip hop flow.. either you do or you don't and you find out pretty quickly
i would say go for jazz... most people enjoy it more

Hey! well in Jazz classes, sorry they don't usually teach you how to do flips. But a lot of dance schools offer Acrobatics where they do teach you that. Sorry again but no one really wants to take Ballet but to become better at other styles like Jazz its a must. And plus Ballet makes you more flexible because of barre work, and its great to have flexibility in Jazz cause of leaps and stuff. Hope i helped!

I think you should do hip hop because it is so much fun and some of the stuff you do for an example strecthing requirs some flexbility. I love hip hop.

make yourself as marketable as possible by learning many forms of dance. Knowledge is power, even in the dance world.
