Of course you can relax in vegas! We all know vegas is the "sin city" by all means yes it's a "party city" but there are plenty of things in vegas that you can do while relaxing as well! Other then enjoying your suite in Mandala Bay, and relaxing by the pool side, here's some of the things you can do while you're there.. though most of it is just sight-seeing, but it can be a lot of fun :)
Here's some of best of the free spectacles:
Las Vegas Sign.
The sign is on the southern end of the strip!
Fall Of Atlantis - Caesars Palace
Every Hour (10am-11pm)
Freemont Street Experience - Freemont St.
Every half hour after dark (ends at midnight)
Water Fountains Show - Bellagio
Every 20 minutes.
week days: 3pm - 12am
weekends: 12pm - 12am
Volcanic Eruption - The Mirage
Every 15minutes! (7pm -12am)
Circus Acts - Circus Circus
Every 20minutes! (11am - 12am)
Sirens of T.I - Treasure Island
5:30 pm, 7:00 pm, 8:30 pm and 10:30 pm
Experience a Rainstrom - Miracle Mile in Planet Hollywood
Mon-Thus: storm every hour Fri-Sun: every half hour
Masquerade Show in the Sky - Rio
Everyday - 3, 4, 5, 6:30, 7:30, 8:30, 9:30 pm
Sunset Stampede
Show times are 2:00 pm, 4:00 pm, 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm daily.

Other that that..
Venetian - has very nice Italian style-setting. Ride the Gondola, it can be very nice.
Caesars Palace - has the place set as if you were in the Ancient-Rome. It also has a good shopping place! And check out their Atlantis show right by the arcades!
Bellagio - The Garden, very nice picture spot on the inside right by the lobby, they change the theme according seasons! Also they have the biggest chocolate fountains in the world!
Mandala Bay - Aquarium that 12,200 gallons of water with tropical fish and sharks too!
Circus Circus - has a whole floor level for arcade games (The Midway) where you can play for cheap and win prizes! And they also have an indoor-theme park, The Adventure Dome, where they have rides and other arcade games! Check out the free Circus Acts also, right above the casino level!
Luxor - has a very nice egyptian theme, and you can take a picture with the Sphinx and the pyramid in the background. (right outside the hotel)
Paris - go up the Eiffel Tower, it's not too high but you can still get a great view of the city.
Strathosphere - go up to the Strathosphere tower and it has a really nice beautiful view from up top. Plus, there are some roller-coaster rides up there too, but if you're afraid of heights, I wouldn't recommend it.
The Mirage - has a very beautiful Tropical Forest, and Coral Reef Aquarium and their infamous White Tigers!
Flamingo Hotel - very nice wildlifes from around the world, they have the garden filled with exotic birds, ucks, penguins, swans, turtles, koi and of course the Chilean flamingos.
MGM - lion habitat!
New York New York - they have a memorial spot for the September 11 remberance right infront of the Statue of the Liberty. Also they have a roller coaster that cost $12 per ride!
Also on the strip, right across NewYork NewYork, there's a big M&M's store. If you're a big M&M's lover, it's the best store for you. Next to it, there's a big Coca-Cola store, and Gameworks somewhere near too!
Okay, I hope that helps! :) Have a fun trip!

Yes it is possible but I don't know how many people go to Vegas just to do that. If money isn't a factor, try renting a cabana at the pool or going for a spa/massage at Spa Mandalay or the Bathhouse. As for nice dinners there are plenty of fine restaurants at the bigger hotels like Mandalay Bay, Bellagio, Venetian, Wynn, etc. I'll be there this weekend as well so hope you have a great time.

Good choice of hotel for pool time. The earlier the better for a less crowded scene. Weekends are always busy in Vegas so don't expect too much. Every place is crowded on the weekend if you wait too long. Do everything earlier and you should be ok. Do not plan on walking the strip. The crowds will be huge. This town is full of energy and the younger crowd really pumps it up on Fridays and Saturdays.

Why not book some spa time and see if your stay comps you some % off on treatments at Manadalay's. Check with your concierge. Try the pool at Platinum. Try dinners off strip for less fuss and no crowds. Also not as relaxing but fun, try a helicopter trip to the grand canyon or nearby valley of fire. Maybe rent a car one day and drive to Lake Las Vegas for a resort like experience. Do some stuff that few tourists do.

My husband and I went to Vegas at the end of June for three days, and did nothing but relax! We stayed at the Mirage and hung by the pool alot. I think we only went to ESPN Zone, Caesars to shop and Treasure Island for the Cirque show and that was it..all the other time was at the Mirage pool relaxing.
My three coworkers just went to LV and stayed at Mandalay and went to the European pool alot, but what I understand is that it is more like a club with loud music...
I've been to the beach pool there and while there are alot of people, its still relaxing.

i suggest going for a BOYS ONLY weekend at VEGAS too. you can do it the same weekend they are going, or the weekend when you know she doesn't have anything planned. then when you get back, don't tell her anything about what happened. in fact, talk on the phone with your guy friends and let her hear your laughter and such. let her hear the words "vegas. crazy. do THAT again." stuff like that. just make her feel how you feel, you know? of course, you SHOULD NOT do anything that you might regret. just make her think and wonder about it. and one more thing, don't ask her how HER weekend was. i don't usually condone all these "games", but i feel awful for you. i'd hate it if my boyfriend did that to me. just keep in mind that whatever you do, will always be a risk, and you better be prepared for the consequences. also, if, at the end of the day, there is no TRUST in the relationship, then there really is no point in having one. i am basically suggesting that you make her feel how you feel, y'hear?! good luck! hope it all works out! =) PS there's nothing wrong with "girls only / boys only" nights out..as long as you are reassured that it's all clean fun, and that your partner would not even consider doing anything stupid to hurt you.

Where are you staying? Some hotels are more party scenes than others. I stayed at Mandalay Bay w/ my DH & it was VERY calming. It's at the end so it's not right in the middle of the strip w/ all the action. The casino was spread out & the pool was relaxing BC we were there during the week. But there's exhibits & the salon/spa.....great for relaxing!

Mandalay Bay on has one huge pool and the beach style area.
You might want to consider reserving a cabana if you desire a thrilling pool side holiday experience. You can lay in the shade or sun, get drinks brought to you. Get lunch and bring it to the cabana... It what you want if the pool is for you on vacation.
Most hotels will not let you in unless you are staying there. There are a couple of casino that have topless pools you can pay to get into "Mirage" and " MGM" come to mind if that is what you would like. Women are free and the guy must pay I believe.
Have fun in my city.

If you want to relax there are many out of the way places to go, like Mt Charleston, very romantic, check out Red Rock, go to the visitors center for other than casino places, it really is a great place.
