for losing 15 years of your life in vain (in this country)........without achieving yet any of your dreams??!

the system of education in Egypt is terrible and i think it's the worst...............why would we study these dumb subjects for 12 years, then in college for 4 years ??
in my college,i'm in faculty of arts english department, i get degrees that really makes me feel sick, i'm clever and smart, may be not in revising but in understanding............but just your opinions and your career are put in the nearest rubbish bin?? How is this so humiliating??

Nada, you copied my thoughts ;) , I really wanted to ask a question about education in Egypt, its terrible, it really doesn't give you a chance to think, or to use your brain, kolo 7ifz, its doesn't give the student a chance to be open minded, use skills such as analyzing and evaluating, they give you the rule but don't tell you why this rule works, how its works and stuff
The subjects chosen are so dumb,
My school does the IBO and I personally think its much better, we still study deen w 3araby taba3 el wezara bas the rest la2a,
I'm like you, I'm good at understanding and problem solving ( don't really like revising and memorizing), I love maths, analyzing and stuff, and I fing the IBO much better for such skills
Its sad en e7na delwa2ti bena3tamed 3ala manaheg bara, and many people are moving to study outside Egypt because Education is not good

i feel so sad for all women in the world they work so hard yet seem to receive so little for their efforts even in America a woman of education earns 70% of what a man makes with the exception of a few large cities or in union jobs i have no real experiance with middle eastern countries the perception in america is that women are suppresed yet i realise that you can't trust the propaganda i just wish there was equality for all and happiness enough to go around

I think it is best to focus on the positive side of every educaiton system. No system has been developed perfect. Also knowledge gained in any form is never wasted. Since you are in Egypt , you are your best judge on what is the most positive part in your education system. Just try to harness patience and take whatever is positive. filter out the negative part. The grass is always green on the other side. Dont think that other's are doing better than Egypt.

Me too, despite being clever and smart, mesh 3'roor wallahy, bas theqa, I got grades that didn't fit me for that I didn't used to force my self to studying, although I was in a very respectful PRACTICAL faculty, and a very respectful university, studying was boring sometimes especially in first years, before specializing.
However after graduating and getting into practical life, I realized it's much more better, not easier but better.

So, I advise you to do your best in this stage and forget all about developing education system in Egypt, it's useless.

Many of my cousins feel the same way as u do. I was sent to Ireland my mothers birth place to be educated n lived with my mums aunt. When i left college i back packed around the middle east n worked along the way b4 comin home to Egypt

i am in kasr alainy faculty of medicine and you can't imagine how frustrating is our system, But if i always thought about it i would never make any progress, so i cope up with my system sometime and i use my style the other time.

I'm not there. I kinda know how you feel though. Even in the US if you study the liberal arts (languages etc) you can have a VERY hard time finding a job....not even a good one but I know it doesn't compare with what you go through there --sorry.
