due to excessive government spending, Social Security, Medicare/caid, and in all probability UHC, will American citizens:

A) Blame it on evil greedy capitalists who made too much money and selfishly refused to continue to pay a higher portion of their earnings in taxes?

or

B) Realize..hey, Socialism doesn't work, regardless of whether it brought about by revolution or a gradual transition. Maybe we should have learned from the USSR, Cuba, etc. From now on, we are going to respect private property rights and limit the size of our government, much as our founding fathers had envisioned?

To those who think that spending is the biggest problem, you better take another look.

The current national debt is ~$9 trillion.

The current unfunded entitlement liability is ~$50-80 trillion.

Try again.

Unless the majority of the American citizens wise up and grow up and stop being victims and start being responsible for their own lives, they will most likely do A).

Unfortunately, I hate to say that most will continue to be hypnotized by the media's spin machine and say "Baaaaa".. and follow the stampede and fall off the cliff..

I really hope to be wrong about this.

They will most likely be amazed that they didn't listen to the few people with sense left in the world who started growing their own food and saving money in their houses.
I've been telling my family to do this for a while.
And my dad agrees with me, but told me to keep my opinion away from others. Which confuses me....lol
But if a thirteen year old like myself can figure it out the people will prbably do

the country is already bankrupt due to overexpenditures by the peoples and its government -- what do your credit card bills look like? i doubt they come close to the pentagon's. guess who is printing more money to throw in the stock market? this country is a disaster and it has nothing to do with "socialism". if you understood economics then you would understand your question is moot -- and you should learn what socialism is -- cuba and the former soviet union are/were communist.
the european community is thriving through social democracy -- much more socialist than cuba and ussr ever were.

I'm pretty sure they'll point out that the country had a surplus when Clinton left the White House, and that George Bush did *not* create this huge deficit by spending it on social programs.

It's the WAR, doofus. The money's being spent on the WAR.

If they couldn't print money and use voodoo economics they would be bankrupt now. They don't want to learn - they are deliberately destroying this nation.
