internet explorer dsl connection problems...?

I keep getting this pop-up window saying something like "internet connection has been lost" giving me to options to do (stay connected) or (work offline) why...? and how do I get rid of this...

It sounds like you are having a connection problem. You did not indicate much about your network.

The problem can be the modem, the router, a wireless link between pc and router, or the ISP.

I cannot tell you which it is - only you can do this by an analytical approach.

If you have a wireless connection, I suggest you use a wired connection and see it the problem goes away. If the problem goes away, the issue is the wireless signal is too weak and you need to address this.

If wired connection is no better, then remove the router and connect directly to modem (reboot modem and pc) and see if this fixes things. If so, the problem is a bad router.

If the problem remains, it is the modem or the ISP feed itself and you then need to contact the ISP.
