I think one of my friends is a real "emo" person. I didn't even realize that he could be considered emo, because when someone says emo I always think of the stereotypical 14 year old girl who cuts her wrist and wears eyeliner and says "omg i hate mi lyfe im gonna kil mi self now" I wont go into details about my friend because I find it disrespectful, but have you ever met anyone like that?

For everyone who says not to label people, that's why I put it in quotations. I wouldn't call him emo, because I consider labels to be overrated, but he really fits the standards.

Also, when I say a real "emo" person, I mean someone who is old enough and wise enough to understand that what they're doing is not just a stupid stage, but a lifestyle.

Yes I have .
She was so bad I thought I would be smothered and had to get away for my own sanity.
It seems like there are people who are not happy unless they are unhappy !
They hold onto some 'hurt' and nurture it until it just takes over there life !

Well there are two types of kids who could be considered emo. One is the stereotypical version, someone who is usually depressed and/or suicidal and cuts themselves. But there are other "emo" kids who just have the style of wearing eyeliner and dressing in a certain way and listening to specific music. I know both, but really, only one is really emo. Emo stands for emotional, and if someone is emotion, they end up over-emotional, and when your melodramatic everything is depressing.

yh, i had no idea my 15 year old cousin is emo, until she actually started going out to th mall with us. usually she would stay in her room doing who knows what. i noted that she has over 10 pairs of converse and vans shoes. i asked her if she considered herself emo and she said-well, yeah. why? is that a problem? ;acutally i'd NEVER even SEEN an emo that wasnt in a picture. i live in a small town in texas, where th schools hav strict rules on wearing black, guyliner, hair dying, etc....th rules really suck.

mhm. yeah one of my friends in sixth grade was depressed/suicidal and blamed all of it on me because i rejected him when i asked him out earlier that year. because of that i started blaming myself and i actually became depressed that year, and the year after, but last year in eighth grade i pulled my life back together.
and you know, everybody is a little "emo" on some level. lol but the difference between an "emo person" and a non-"emo" person is whether or not they are emotional all the time. :)

Yes, i have a friend who cut sher wirst and write 'death' poetryand all that stuff. But what is weird is she doesn't wear emo-like clothing. Eventhough I kinda do, but I'm a really preppy person.(i don't wear dark eyeliner though)
