Are you asking us to do your report for you? I think not. However, you can do your own by asking yourself a few good questions.

1. What did the world look like before WWII (look at a map!). Who were the world powers?

2. How did it change (look at a pre-1989 map). Who were the world powers? Which countries changed ... merged, appeared or disappeared?

3. Now, examine the changes between questions one and two and today's map. Who are the world powers? Which countries changed ... merged, appeared or disappeared?

4. What did women do before WWII? What did they do during the war? Do you see any changes that affect how women live today.

5. Apply blacks and other minorities to question 4.

6. America (and the rest of the world) was in the Great Depression prior to WWII. How did that change?

7. Was the formation of Israel a direct result of WWII? How has that changed the politics and life in the middle east.

If you examine all of these questions, you will be able to write your report.

We now buy automobiles from Japan. Cars and TVs, made by the manufacturer who became wealthy from making Zeros. Remember those? The ones that attacked Pearl Harbor? Mitsubishi?

China was such a good ally that we gave them most of our manufacturing.
WE no longer have the quality of goods that we used to.
Remember "Pre-Shrunk Fabrics"? Remember "Color Fast Fabrics"? Remember when we had every size and width in shoes? Remember when we did not have poisonous foods for our pets? And now, toys?

WE still give lots of money to a score of countries, even those who have dictators pocket the cash. And we borrow the money? Sheeesh!
Too much to list.

If this is for a report then you need to do your own work.
1. Look up Cold War
2. Look up Japan's economy
3. Look up creation of North and South Korea leading to Korean war

The list goes on and on.

We see what America can do when it pulls together to fight and win a war. We enjoy freedoms because of the sacrifices made then.
