I have tropical fish too. Will it harm the cold water fish to have tropical fish flakes for one day as the shop is now closed?

Just give a little bit, if you fed your fish yesterday you can miss a day a tip for you with cold water fish always put the flake food into the water as this stops them getting swim bladder

I sometimes feed my tropical fish goldfish flakes! The only real difference between the 2 is that most tropical fish flakes help to maintain a good color in the tropical fish. So no it will not hurt them. Also depending on what kind of tank you have....(my goldfish are in a 100 or so gallon horse trough outside, and I do not feed them at all!) they may not have to eat for several days even for some weeks!

No it will not harm them. Goldfish food has a lower protein content than tropical fish food so the tropical food will do them fine. In fact to save you buying 2 types of food you can feed both tropical food all the time, however you can not feed tropical fish goldfish food all the time.

I dont think the flakes will harm the tropicals but if they shake their heads and reject..dont give them any more and it wont harm them for a day. If you have catfish..dig up some garden worms and chop them up in small pieces.

It will not harm any of your fish to go without food for several days(10) ,actually it's good for them to miss a days feeding once a week.

I do not think it will harm the fish for just one day. And anyway, they have senses too. if it's going to harm them, they probably won't eat it. Good luck!

They really wont mind. But you should try and get their usual food. Also you can get some at the supermarket. Hope it helps. Any trouble tell me.

it wont do much harm but you don't have to feed your goldfish for a day....goldfishes can survive without food for 7 days and if you have live plants to consume...you don't even have to feed them at all..
