I tried to maintain a rosy conseravtive optimism for Iraq but then reality got in the way...?

The only thing that's "rosy" now is my forehead because I get a little steamed when I think of how arrogantly President Bush has actively defied the will of the American people.

I just watched Hannity try to lambast a democrat for not supporting the troops. This line is so tired, stupid, and embarrassing. The American people are fed up with it, even many who voted for Bush. All Hannity can do is interrupt and talk over people to make sure they can't state the obvious so that everyone can hear them.

Wow. Funny, I'd rather have a president who does what they said they'd do when they were running for election, which is to be a strong leader, and not fold under the slightest pressure from the drive by media. Also funny that you didn't mention in your question what's going to happen when as Bill Richardson says, "When we (the democrats) take back the white house, we'll pull our troops out of Iraq in 1 month." Hmmm, this is going to be great, we take down the government, fight for a few years, then leave the country up for grabs! Maybe we'll let Iran have it! Or Al Quida! Or maybe even the Taliban! This is just the best idea I've ever heard in my life! Bull ****. I will not vote for a democrat until they tell me a realistic plan on how they're going to stabilize Iraq to the point that we can leave. You don't cut and run. You don't leave a country in the Middle East with tons of oil vulnerable to be taken over by Iran or Al Quida. It's stupid. And however bad an idea it was to get into Iraq in the first place, it's an even worse idea to leave to soon.

Your thoughts are OK. You will be taken more seriously when you vent your anger at ALL parties who voted for and continue to vote for the war. And those that pledge to keep troops there at least 3 more years, as Hillary and many in Congress said last week.
I know you like to have one person to blame, but intelligent reasoning and facts do not support your hatred of Bush alone.
