The final week of August 1987 saw Rick top the UK Singles Chart with "Never Gonna Give You Up".
To mark the 20 years anniversary, Rick is due to appear on the Stuart Maconie show, BBC Radio 2, on Saturday 25th August. The part of the show in which he will feature is called Celebrity Personal Shopper. Rick will be given £50 to spend on his favourite album, book and DVD which will form a prizes for the show. He will most likely talk a little about his choices, maybe talk about what he's doing now and expect "Never Gonna Give You Up" to be given a spin.
If you are not in the UK but would like to listen to the show, download and install realplayer and go to:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/shows/maconie/personalshopper.shtml
where you should be able to listen to the show live.

Out of all the CD's I have ever purchased, his forst 2 albums had the most hits and great songs. The guy is a musical legend, and its too bad he was never promoted on radio and video as a great artist should have--at least thats how it was in the USA.
I tried going to wikipedia, and that did not tell me much. I would hope he comes back to the music scene, as most of us know many of his songs, and they bring back great memories.
Hope this helps.

He's still recovering from excessive hair gel usage, learning to dance a few more groovy moves other than rolling his hands in a circle and kicking his feet left and right. He's gonna make a BIG comeback, don't you know!
