A head gasket is a major repair job. You'll be disassembling the entire top part of the engine to replace the head gasket.

Various instructions on how to perform the task can be found here:

It is highly recommended to take the head with the broken gasket to a machine shop to verify that the head didn't get warped and is not cracked, or you'll be doing the head gasket again.

Get a cheap digital camera, or a disposable camera and take pictures as you disassemble the vehicle, it will help you rebuild the vehicle.

its not an easy job ,because you have to have the heads checked to make sure they don't have any warping in them at all,if they do they have to true them up,or they wont hold a new gasket for long,a shop usually charges around 600 to do both heads on those cars, and its well worth it ,it takes a lot of tools and time to do this job, this is not something that the average home mechanic would want to do,if anything goes wrong, and you have to-do it again the cost is going to double ,as to what a shop would have charged you,so id have this one repaired, its better that way ,you get the car back and all you have to do is drive it,good luck on it.
