12x+36=6(2x+4)
distribute
12x+36=12x+24
subtract 12x from both sides
36=24
36 and 24 are not equal so you were right, the answer is no solution

if you simplify the question you will get 12x+36 = 12x+24, since 12x have appeared in both side it will cancel each other. Assuming that the equation is right you will definitely get zero as an answer, try to double check your solutions if you derive it from a problem....

have a nice day!

You are correct that there is no solution. Since the right hand side expands out to 12x + 24, you end up getting:

36 = 24 (after subtracting 12x from each side)

No solution is correct.

12x+36=6(2x+4)
12x+36=12x+24
36=24

No matter what the value of x, this equation will be incorrect. It has no solution.

That is right.
If you multiply out the equation, the right hand side becomes:
12x + 24
Then subtract out the 12x from both sides of the equation and you are left with:
36 = 24
Since this is not true for any x, there is no solution.

hi yeah the 1st one has delta=0 so the two ideas x1, x2 are same and equivalent to a million.5 as u worked out now for the 2nd, you decide directly to contemplate the delta/4 first(bear in mind while the b coefficient is even we are in a position to take delta/4): delta/4=(b/2)^2-ac=a million-10=-9 thats detrimental so the ideas at the instant are not real. while you're purely thinking ideas belonging to the "R" set, then u shall quit right here and say the equation has no longer real ideas. in case you already be attentive to the thank you to artwork with imaginary numbers, then the answer to the equation are: y1= -a million +3j y2=-a million- 3j solid success:D

If you think of these as lines, they are parallel, and as they do not meet, there is no value that will satisfy an equality.
