1. I am going to have my period, how do i ask my mom when she had hers?
Wait until an advert for pads/tampons or w/e comes on when you're both sitting on the couch and just say 'Speaking of periods, when did you start?' and to stop the feeling being awkward, after she's told you kinda snuggle into her so that if you go red from embarrassment - she won't see.
2. How can i get ready for my period?
Buy a cheap pencil case and stock it up with pads and put it in your school bag. Also, if you're going to you're grandma's house or your friends or something, take a couple just in case. You might want to take a spare pair of panties to school in case your other panties are stained.
3. What do I do if I have it in school?
If there's lots of blood on your panties, change them and either use the pads you've got in your bag, ask a friend for some, or be brave and ask a teacher/school nurse for some.
4. What age were you when you had your period?
I was 13 years and 10 days old.
5. When I have it how do I tell my mom that I had it?
Ask her to buy some pads for you, just go up to her and say 'I started my period' or even just 'I started' (she should know what it means). You could also write her a note or send her a text message.
6. Should I tell my teacher/nurse that I had my period when I have it?
Only if you feel it is necessary. In case you forget your pads/tampons/cup go to your school nurse and she will be happy to give you some, and so will your teacher. If you want to (and this might be advisable) you could go to your school nurse and just say that you've started and give her some pads/tampons/cup to keep for you.
Hope this helps, and good luck! xo

You need to sit down with your mom & talk with her about this- I'm pretty sure she can answer all of your questions. I had my period when I was 11 years old and oh boi let me tell you- I had it at school. It wasn't embaressing because I already had a panty liner on & plus , at first its not a bright red blood period, its mre like real thick brown discharge, and as days goes by it starts getting brighter & more like blood type. To be prepared you should start wearing the carefree panty liners, its not uncomfortable, you'll probably forget its attached to your undies, there like really small thin pads- thatt absorbs liquids from your vagina- such as discharge & wetness that occurs down there, you should try caring a bad with: #1 panty liners, #2 pads/ prefferable with wings, #3 some Motrin or any medication that can help with cramps and headaches, #4 you can also carry in your bag an extra undy just in case, and that's up to you, #5 Just make sure you have comfortable clothing on- nothing too tight. You don't have to tell your teachers or nurses that you have your period, they pretty much know females your age are starting or begun puberty. I'm pretty sure that if you ask your teacher if you can excuse yourself to the lavatory, she'll understand. Go to the nurse if you have any major issues that you are experiencing that you don't know about. when you have your period- yes tell your mom so she can buy you pads etc., she went through that stage already so it wont be anything new to her. I hope this helps, if you need further information go to beinggirl.com- the website talks about period & you can also request free sample of pads that you'll receive within 6-8 weeks. Good luck!

1. Just ask her. This could open up communications to talk about menstruation with her. She's been through it too!

2. Buy some pads, tampons, a heating pad, pamprin and have them in the bathroom closet. That way if at home you won't be caught unaware and unprepared.

3. Go to the nurse's office and ask her for a pad, if there is a mess on your shorts and panties you could ask her to call your mom and run you in a clean pair.

4. I was 11 years old, and at home when mine started.

5. Just tell her! She's had it too!

6. The only time you need to tell a teacher or nurse is if they question you going to the bathroom (to change pads/tampons) often or if you've been caught unaware and have gotten your panties/shorts stained and need to get a fresh pair.

Calm down and take it easy! Just talk to your mom about menstruation.

Just ask her, I know its awkward but she's been dealing with it for a long time and it's nothing to be embarrassed about.

To get ready just carry around tampons or pads with you every where you go. There's usually no telling when its going to start. You just have to feel it.

If you have it in school just be prepared for it by carrying around the pads or tampons

I had my first period at 12

Yes, tell your mom you had it.

No need to tell your teacher / nurse. But your probably want to tell someone and probably have them call your mom so you can go home and get cleaned up.

Have you mentioned it to her yet or has she spoken to you about it?
To get ready for it, keep a couple of pads in your purse then when anything happens all you need to do is go to the bathroom and youre sorted.
I got mine when i was 11 and it started quite light. I just told my mom i needed the things that she uses every month and she understood straight away.
You only need to tell teacher / nurse if you get caught out without a pad if you always carry some around or keep some in your locker you wont have to tell them.
Hope this helped good luck

1. Just ask her. (It doesn't really matter when she got it. You will get it when YOUR body is ready)
2. Buy pads and have them on hand
3. carry a pad with you (or at least some change so you can buy some from one of the dispensers). at my school all we had to do was go to the nurse and she'd give us one.
4. 12
5. Say "mom I think I have my period"
6. Not if you don't want to.

the first thing you should do is relax. your mom is always going to be there to talk to you about your period, i mean it is her job to do stuff like this. try bringing it up by just asking 'so, how old were you when you had your first period?' it may sound really awkward but after you start talking you'll be fine. in order to get ready for your period, just buy some pads and tampons and keep them in your purse or room, just in case. if you have it at school, it really isnt a big deal. normally when you have your first period it isnt very heavy, so if you do notice it, it shouldnt be like bleeding through your pants. make sure you have pads/tampons in your locker in that event that you have it at school. if it occur at school and you dont have pads/tampons, then ask your teacher to go to the nurse, and if they ask why and your embarresed to say why, make up something like you dont feel good or are dizzy. if you want to tell you mom that you had it, just kind of go up to her and say 'mom, i think i had my period' and she will totally understand. if you feel comfortable telling you teacher, go ahead. but there really isnt any reason for them to know. you'll be fine if you have your period, it will work out, i promise. good luck!

just ask your mom when she had her period. if you are worried about having it at school, put a few pads in your locker, so if you do you can just get those. i was 12 or 13 when i got mine, and i got it during school. yes, you should tell your mother you had your period, just bring it up casually, and if you need to ask her not to mention it infront of other people. you don't need to tell your teacher or nurse, it isnt any of thier buisness. the only reason you would need to is if you notice in class that you are having it, and they won't let you go to the bathroom.

urs is just as long as mine. but ill answer it anyway. take a deep breath and just tell her, ask her. to get ready grab some midol and get some pads or tampons. if u have it in school put 3 pads or 5-6 tampons in ur school bag or purse. remember to change tampons every 2-8 hrs depending on ur flow. i was 13 i got it in school. i just told her, mom i think i got my period. if its an emergency and u need to go to the nurse, they tend to have pads and tampons. or exuse urself to the bathroom. tell ur mom that ur going to have ur period and ask her if she could get u some stuff to help u. once u get it it becomes more of an annoyance then anything. so relax and dont get to stressed over it.

the 1st time i had mine was about 11 or 12 years old. when you have yours, use a pad not a tampon. with tampons, you can get a rare bacterial thingy if you have it in you more than 4 hours. you should tell your teachers (woman teachers) and/or nurse just in case it happened during school hours.
