Come on, would the average 15 year old really notice that they had been transported anywhere? And as for a reaction, I would think a grunt just about covers most situations ;o)

attempt beginning off with what's at present around them while they 'land' in the hot international. Are they in a room? A woodland? in the midst of a conflict? On a deliver? Is everyone else recent? gadgets or animals? i think of maximum folk in that difficulty does no longer be waiting to take up each and every little thing at as quickly as. Their first reaction could probable be in basic terms ask your self, 'is that this actual?'. Then that they had initiate reacting to their atmosphere, making judgments approximately what replaced into time-honored and what replaced into diverse, what may well be a threat, what replaced into captivating, what replaced into traumatic. do no longer ignore what they might pay attention and smell besides as what they might see. have exciting with it!

I would say Good Riddance to the "real" world, and I would feel that I fit in better in the fantasy world. Might have a chance at killing someone in the fantasy world that I have learned to hate through his actions.

How about making your main character a nine years old. As children grow up faster these days, some fifteen year old's are pushing a pram.

I have actually thought about this a lot. I thought that if I was ever give the magical 3 wishes that one of them would be that the "Grey Havens" of JRR Tolkien fame was real and out there to be discovered, by me of course. I would try to fit in by learning the language & customs and then see what benefits to our world they could be or me to them, but not likely I could help them much. I would also search like crazy for Legolas (heh heh). I thought it would be cool to be able to pick up any of their magical traits I could. Especially the immortality one. What would I do with that?? The healing one would be cool, to come back & cure cancer, blindness etc. My main concern has always been mental illness, if people could be more like we are supposed to be, thinking & treating our neighbors & strangers like ourselves (golden rule). Could we do it? What would be the consequences if we could. What kind of world would we shape. No more thefts, crime, hatred, mental diseases like alzheimers, bi-polar, depression, etc I'd love it!! I'd especially like the living in trees part, back to nature but being able to control nature for mankinds benefit. Hope this helps you.

The one problem is that in Magic Land, nothing scientific works, only energy manipulation.

Basically, I would be freaked out of my mind. But I guess it would also depend if I was alone, if everyhting around me was scary or weird...
I would assume someone slipped me a whole bunch of acid.
