yeah on all the covers where harry has a wand it is in his left hand. but in the books there are examples of him being right handed:
book6 p347 US hardback: harry is talking to scrimgeour and shows where his hand was cut by umbridge and it is his right hand

the best evidence is book 1 p83 US hardback: harry states to mr olivander that he is right handed when buying his wand

its jk rowlings book and she is the ultimate authority so he is right handed and i guess the illustrator just didnt note this when doing the covers....and then if she did after doing one book with him being left handed, maybe she didnt want to change it since it would be odd that he switched hands...

Harry is definitley right handed in the books-it's stated in the first book when Ollivander asks him what his wand hand is.
He is also right handed on the book covers, at least, he is on all the British editions. You may be confused because he appears to be left handed to us on the cover of the Half Blood Prince, but he is holding his wand in his right hand.
If I held a wand in my right hand, and you were facing me, the wand would appear to be in my left. Same applies to Harry, for the direction he's facing he is holding his hand in his right hand which is his wand hand.

you can check in the book if he is left handed by what hand the scars that umbridge left are on. Im pretty sure he is right handed, but u cud jus scim through and check as it says some thing like ' he lifted his ______ hand and he cud see the scars ' are something to that effect anyway.

If in the book Harry is left handed and in the movie harry it right handed, that is probably because the actor who plays Harry Potter - Daniel Radcliffe - is right handed and he cant change that really can he..

x ope this helps xx

The differences between the book and movie are not really explained. This is one of many untethered plot lines and unanswered foreshadowed events.

Here are a few books to read next:

Maximum Ride series by James Patterson
The Sprawl trilogy by William Gibson
Daughter of the Lioness series by Tamora Pierce
Princess Diaries series by Meg Cabot.
The Hobbit and LOTR series by J.R.R. Tolkien
Xenogenesis Series by Nebula and Hugo award winning author Octavia E. Butler
His Dark Materials series by Philip Pullman

Non-Series:

Fire Starter by Stephen King (more thriller than horror)
A Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray

No, Harry's right handed. In book one on page 64 he says to Mr. Olivander: 'er-well, I'm right handed' when asked which is his wand arm. hope this helps!

Left handed.
in the book if it says it's left handed he is.
in the movie he is right handed... That's just Daniel that is right handed.
the book tells it all!
