There is something that is inhibiting me. Something like I mustn't hurt other people so when I punch, I never punch good enough. But I must protect my honor. What to do to overcome this?

Don't beat them up. It's not worth all the trouble you can get into. This type of problem used to consume my life until finally I just learned to say "f*** it" and ignore life's little assholes. Try that strategy, and it might work wonders for you.

What good is violence except in the condition of self-defense? Hitting someone because you are angry is not the right way out. Resisting the temptation is showing even greater strength. Not everybody has that trait to hold themselves back. Instead try using a different approach. Say something smart to the person you're angry with. Don't ever overcome the trait that you have. Honor above all!

Have you ever heard the saying, "Violence is NOT the answer?" It applies here. There is something very wrong with someone who believes that they must "defend their honor." What a load of crock. You don't have to do any such thing. You are who you are despite whatever that person does to do. Knocking them out will neither earn their resepect for you nor will it change how they feel about you. It could however put you in jail. Hitting someone is against the law and no one has a right to be violent because of someone's words hurting them. Period.

Are you in the professional fighting world? If not do not feel you need to get machismo angry to fend of the slings and arrows of outrageious fortune. Only fight to defend yourself to the point where you can get out of the situation.

don't overcome it. You will end up in trouble. Meet force with force. But don't go for the kill or cripple them. you would regret it. You have a conscience. that is good. Some people can kill and not let it bother them. That's not good.

plenty of options other than fighting... fighting to defend yourself is fine.. fighting to defend your 'honor' is what they did in the 1800's... just avoid the person.. they aren't worth your time.. if you can't avoid them.. then just try to outsmart them.. humiliation has a way of shutting people up.

I find it more honorable not to fight. Not fighting is several times harder than fighting!
