I agree with you, Magglio Ordonez has been consistently above avg. this year and is the front runner for MVP because without him his team would not be in the playoff picture...I wouldn't pick A-Rod only because he had one outstanding month and has been good since then...if you took him off the team during this hot streak since the All-Star break the Yankees maybe would've have lost one of those games without him...if you think I am just making this up you can look up the numbers yourself...I believe he actually has the lowest batting avg. of all the starters on the Yanks since the All-Star break.

Magglio without a doubt should win it. Yes A-Rod is great and all, but when he drives in runs, he drives most of them in via the home run. Yes, A-Rod has a highers slg % but Maggs has a .359 average!! How can someone with a .359 average not win the AL MVP? I think whoever goes farther in the playoffs (the tigers or yanks) that player will win it because the rest of the world will say that they carried there team farther when in reality, if people didn't get on base before, they wouldn't have over 100 RBI. But Maggs should win it in my mind.

I agree with you on Magglio!!! Unfortunatly (and I love the Tigers) I don't think they will make it until the end:( Since technically a MVP is from a winning team my vote would go to Chone Figgins. Believe it or not he is hitting hotter than Vladdy of course only 2 hr but he hits atleast 2 doubles a game and steals every game by far he is a secret to the ANGELS success!

Probably Alex Rodriguez only cause he plays for the Yankees (I hate the yankees) I hope Magglio Ordonez wins.

Not Royce Clayton??? Then I guess A-rod. If there were other factors involved I'd take Magglio but since MVP voters seem to look at the hottest Yankee before considering the rest of the league, I'll get in line and say "Baaa, A-rod, Baaa"
And as much as I hate to admit it, he's actually earning it.

Um yeah Mag's is leading the league right now in batting avg. So i think Mag's could easily win the batting title. As for Mvp it is possible. There is about a 40 percent shot at Mag's winning mvp. Because you got A-Rod hanging on. But if A-Rod goes on a cold streak. Mag's will have it all tied up.

I would also agree that Ordonez is the person right now, followed by Guerrero.
Without these guys, the teams would not be where they are.
Without Arod, the team would be worse, but they wouldn't much worse off than where they are, 2nd place in the AL east.

2 words
A. Rod.
hes the best player in the AL. he leads the AL in 2 of the 3 Triple Crown categories (Magglio leads the 3rd)
both are solid defensively and on contending teams
so with that in mind my vote will still go to ARod

I would say a-rod 'cuse even though i dont like him he's got 500, he's leading in HR and RBI's and even though Yankee fans boo him he still can hit. But Ordonez has a very good chance too.
