What's the point now of having it? I do think there is a conspiracy to make the white race as taboo as possible in America. There was an article in a local newspaper that said many corporations are trying to avoid hiring anybody white (even hispanics of Euro ancestory that look white) since many of their customers are non-white and don't feel comfortable dealing with white or "white-looking" people. Over 150 of the Fortune 500 companies admitted to this. However, the paper refused to mention the names due to "confidential agreements".

What happened to being if you are highly qualified and know what you are doing you are hired? Oh that's right, it went out the window because it is insensitive to compare one's better abilities, education and superiority than another because they paid attention in school and made something of themselves.

what area of the nation african americans the majority?

to respond to your preposterous sweeping generalization i found a study of the census in 2000 that concludes that the population of the state of georgia was 70.08% white or 29.02% black. according to this study, the only state in the usa that has a black majority is D.C.

not georgia, not tennessee, not michigan.

there are some cities where there is a black majority - but not a single state other than D.C. that has a black majority.

tosses a bit of water on your 'facts.'

read for yourself and see how preposterous you statements are.

i still don't get it - you found a few cities that are majority black and make a sweeping generalization based on a skewing of that fact.

black still make up less than 18% of the population of the usa.

if you have a point to make, you still haven't made it. i haven't even thought about your comments about affirmative action, because you simply have failed to state your case in any meaningful way.

but i'm really glad that you finally quoted some facts (that i presented to you) in your, er.... question.

They've already done it here in Michigan. Didn't cause a big fuss. Anyways, even if it is abolished, I think companies will still give consideration to minorities, just to make the company diverse which will put them in a better economical situation.

Abolish affirmative action set asides for anyone and everyone.

Businesses...hire who will make you the most money, you are, after all, a business.
