In the craft of pop music, the Beatles....but to take touring into account - the power of the shows - Springsteen, no doubt. Yes, the Beatles virtually created the stadium tours in the U.S., and the touring may be an unfair variable, but The Boss could take what was done in the studio and translate that to an audience - the Beatles retired from touring because they couldn't, for some reasons beyond their control. Overall, the edge goes to the Beatles...but it's close.

Springsteen has nothing to do compared with the Beatles, who are by far the best-selling music artists ever. The list goes like this:

1 Beatles

2 Michael Jackson

3 Elvis Presley

Those three above have sold 500 million records or more. Springsteen is far below, having sold "only" 100 million records or more.

The Beatles' partnership was finally dissolved in 1975 (more than 30 years ago and still, if you go to any CD or DVD store, you will see their albums on top of almost anyone else's, and always very close to the current best seller (which BTW, many times it is them, with a new remastered version of their old albums).

Elvis became the 1st, and rather started the music marketplace. The Beatles got here next, and perfected what Elvis started. Michael Jackson got here third, and tied mutually each and all of the factors of entertainment. i in my opinion do no longer think of you are able to pick one. i'm a huge, huge Michael Jackson fan, or perhaps i do no longer think of he became the perfect out of those 3. None of them are, they have such thoroughly categories. Elvis will consistently be up there, by way of fact he became the initiating of all of it. The Beatles thoroughly revolutionized songwriting and melodies. Michael Jackson gave music sight via his dancing and music movies.
