I took my '06 chevy for a brake problem. After my car sits for several hours, then you start the car and put it in drive, the brakes won't work! Feels like you turned the engine off and trying to stop! Also, the whole car shakes when applying the brakes at highway speeds. I take it in to the chevy dealership and they take my car for two days and then call me up and tell me it's done. I go to pick it up and I see the service report saying they didn't do NOTHING. "Everything normal at this time" is what they wrote! I"M MAD NOW! I went to another chevy dealer and they found some kind of a brake booster vaccuum leak or something like that and the rear drums needed to be re-surfaced. My problem was solved now but I want to get the other dealership back for not fixing the car like they were supposed to! Their service manager never called me back to discuss! I hate chevy dealers...bunch of fat azzes sitting on their chairs doing absolutely nothing but keeping their chair warm And Who is fixing the cars? Some school yard boy or a fat azz santa clause who looks at the car for two days then rights “normal”

Call the 1-800 number for customer service in the owner's manual. That number will take you straight to Detroit, and tell them the story and give names if you have them.

This makes the dealership look bad in the eyes of Chevrolet management and it may even affect how much they pay for their cars, since they could lose awards and start getting lower kickbacks for advertising or their number of cars may be cut.

Call the number and give them hell. Since the car was under warranty, I assume, they didn't charge you anything for doing nothing. But this was a safety issue and that is something that I would bring up to Detroit.

good luck and glad you finally got it fixed.

Did you rent a vehicle when yours was in the first or second shop? If you did, you may have a claim for your costs of replacement transportation when they did not repair the problem, but that would have to be decided by a judge in small claims court!

Other than that, I would contact the Zone office and the owner or general manager of the dealership.

Some dealers have excellent service departments, some have poor ones! Consider the reputation of the service department when you choose where to buy your vehicle!

If they didn't do anything and didn't charge anything then the matter is closed except that now you know they're uncaring and irresponsible.Like they say,it wouldn't hurt to let the zone office know that they couldn't fix your brakes but another dealer had no problem.Very disappointing story for me to hear.I live in Detroit and we all do our best to build the best, then along comes a dealership to tarnish our image.Screw them.

Go to chevrolet.com and complain on line and there should also be #'s for Chevy's main customer service center.
Also, you can make a complaint against them through the Better Business Bureau

There isn't anything you can do to them except call Chevy and complain. Why do you want revenge? Unless they charged you for repairs they did not actually do, you will waste your time in small claims and you will not win. What would be your grounds? They didn't find the problem? Just move on and don't go to that dealer anymore.

You can complain to the BBB (better business bural) about this particular incident. I would also call the dealership back letting them know that another mechanic fixed the problem that they couldn't find or apparently didn't really look for. and ask for a refund for their insufficient work. If they don't respond again write to their corporate office about this incident and try to get the shop managers name and mechanics name who "worked" on your car.
