My Molly had babies and I don't know what to feed them. My
female guppy looks pregnant and I don't know what to feed those babies when they arrive. I want to breed the guppies for food for my african dwarf frogs. What should I do with the left over guppies after they get too big to eat? Does anyone know if the pet store will take them for me? And what would you do with the left over guppies if you couldn't fit them in your tank?

Baby mollies and guppies can eat crushed up flake food (crush it into a powder), Hikari First bites, decapsulated brine shrimp eggs, frozen brine shrimp, frozen daphnia, and live brine shrimp (have to hatch them yourself). Some pet stores will take extra livebearer fry off your hands. Some won't. Check yahoo groups for local pet groups. There is a local pet group on yahoo and people give away fish all the time there. If you still end up with more than you want to keep and they get too big for your large fish to eat then ask your pets store (if they won't take them from you) if you can put up a flyer or add.

Baby guppies, plaites, mollies, swords can all eat crushed up flakes, And i dont think its worth raising them to feed to african dwaf frogs as they probibly wont even be able to catch them. And you would have to ask with your pet store if they take in fry. Most small pet shops will take them but chains porbibly wont.

hi

you can put some regular fish food into a ziplock and keep rubbing the food in the bag with your fingers until it's crumbled into teeny bits.

you can also buy "fry" food at the pet store, which is specifically for baby fish.

sometimes the mother fishes will eat some of the babies, so you may not end up with that many in the end.

good luck on your mission!
