i want to make friends this year and i need to know how to make new friends because it has been a long time since i made new friends

Well sometimes I have the same problem. But first off, I suspect you may be a little shy, like a am. But to make friends, you need to get over that, at least a little. If you can be comfortable talking to others, then theres plenty of places to make some new friends. Like at your work, or take a class at a jr. college, or in a bar. The secret is you have to be relaxed and open to talking to strangers.

2. Don't broadcast the fact that you're a Muley Cyrus fan (that's not cool).
3. Find some people who like the same normal things that you like.
4. Get into sports or other extra-curricular activities.

Well if you are a fan of Miley Cyrus you'll not make new friends for sure...Lol. I'm just kidding. You just have to be yourself, try to find someone who also likes Miley and then you can start talking with that person about her and then you can make a new friend. See? Easy!

just be friendly, and dont be shy. Like when you go to a class for the first time, dont sit in the very front, or in the very back. sit like in the middle-ish, and if you dont know anyone around you, turn to the girl next to you and give her a little compliment, and strike up conversation. a girl cant say no to a compliment ;-)

same here.but any ways just come up to someone and ingage into a confor sation then the next step is to hang around them alot and talk.then start doing all this best friend stuff. like inviteing them to partys or sleepovers. before you know it you will be bff's.that happend to me before and now we can't leve each others site!!!we always joke and say one of us inhail and the other one exhails!
