Because men do not "own" women. Women in reality are their own person, just like men are. Even if they are in a marriage they are still human. If you are having a problem with "control" in your marriage, take a look at yourself. It's a two part thing, you don't get to be "the boss" If you only married to get control over a woman or to have your own personal slave, you married for the WRONG reason.
Besides, women really do rule the world. We have the power to completely abolish the human race if we wanted to.... where as men, even if they wanted to, would not be able to resist the urge for sex. ;p

To the people who say to take the bibile literally, If you take that one part of the bible (to obey) literally, I'd throughly expect you to take ALL of the bible literally, especially all those parts about. oh, cutting off your balls if you do a certain somthing...Look it up, it's there.

What makes you thing you should have control of your wife ? Do she make demands on you and do you listen to her ?
In a relationship a woman is your equal partner not your child.
Just because she is your wife or girl friend don't mean she has to give up who she is and become your puppet on a string. She is still a individual . I rather be all alone for the rest of my that have to give up my identification as a person.

I agree women should obey there husband cook for him clean for him, run his bath water, raise his children, have sex when he's ready and do everything he says that we should do. Love, Honor and Obey is in the marriage right yeah.
