He is hitting your cervix. Try a different angle or position.
If you have a tipped or tilted uterus it is more common.

Ask the next time you go to the gyno.

The average depth of the vaginal canal is anywhere from 3-5". The more sexually active you become the more it can expand.
If you have just recently started having sex (or if he is above avg length) he is most likely hitting your cervix.

My suggestion is to take time to "warm up" with foreplay & try various positions until you find ones that are comfortable for you.

Also, a little off topic but still relevant to this subject, if he is just pounding away (without any other motion or variation) he needs to get some education on sex (lovemaking if you prefer). There's more to it than just pounding away with all the force he can muster. This type of action can also cause the cervix to be hit when normally it wouldn't.

It's normal, it's possible he's not going in at the right angle. You know how you have to put a tampon in towards your back....sometimes you need to maneuver his thingie to make sure it's not hurting you. Talk to him when you're feeling the pain and hopefully he'll be able to move in a way that makes you more comfortable.

If it only happens sometimes and in certain positions, it may be that he's bumping your cervix or banging your internal organs through your vaginal wall. I would recommend however still seeing a doctor; any sort of pain should not be ignored...its your body's way of telling you something's not right.

Ive had this problem before with prior boyfriends, It could just be that they key doesn't exactly fit the hole. He could possibly be to long or curved for your fitting. Things might adjust after a while of trying but I would still ask your doctor.

Sounds like you need lubrication.....sometimes if you're not wet enough, it will feel dry and painful.
