There seems to be an omen for everything these days, so I was wondering, is there an omen for being visited by deer? We have them around all the time since we live in the woods but they're mostly doe...which is probably better since I wouldn't want a couple of bucks having an antler smackdown a few feet from my house...to get back on track, does getting visited by deer often signify anything? Just curious.

Dears and does symbolize grace, gentleness, and natural beauty. It has feminine qualities and may point to the feminine aspect within yourself. It also represents independence and virility. Consider the symbol to be a pun for someone who is "dear" to you.

This may not be of any use to you, but did you like the disney movie called, "Bambi"? Didn't you ever want a deer as a pet? If so carpi diem. My humble advice don't invite any of your friends over if they like to hunt, in fact don't tell them of your deer sitings or you my be living that whole Bambi experience again(as a child I had to go see a therapist because of the movie). Well anyways getting back to the subject I would go with what Luna says. Something to consider as well if ever you have a shortage of food, you can open your window and sing that song with the angelic tone of Snow White, "Come to my Window" (Melissa E. song) and watch the deer come from far and near. When they have gathered themselves by your window take your winchester to them and... well you get the picture. You have dinner for the evening. Also I hear that my bubby's grandmother use to make great beefjerky out of deer meat. So, go with what Luna said I have to go all this talk of food is making me hungry.

We had that where I grew up. Every morning and night we had deer in our yard and sometimes they even came up on the porch to eat mom's hanging plants.
We considered it a blessing that our property was peaceful enough, had good grazing and had no hunters in the area.
I cannot think of a more peaceful way to start or end a day then watching deer calmly grazing in your yard. If it is an omen, it must be a good one!

Do you have a food source for deer in your yard? We put out corn, and that attracts deer. Perhaps they just feel safe in your yard.

^They are probably looking for food, more and more of their natural habitat is disappearing, so deers, bears, coyotes etc. are coming into our back yards, they are just trying to survive like the rest of us.
