I've been through a lot of pain in my life. As a child I fell on a piece of wood that had nails in it. As a teenager while playing football, someone once tried to break my knee on purpose (they didn't succeed). I'v also cracked my head open a couple of times. But that pales in comparison to what happened a few years ago. I woke up one morning and it literally felt like my legs were on fire. I tried to get up but my legs would not move. Lived by myself at that time so I had to physically pull myself out of bed. When I did that, the burning went away and I was able to move my legs again. I immediately went to the doctor and they determined that a disk was putting pressure on my lower spine. I was put on a machine that was going to put a needle in my lower back to inject cortizone to relieve the pressure. As it was being inserted into me, the needle hit a bone on the way in. Doctor said most people black out when that happens but some how I stayed conscious.

Wow, youve had it rough in your life compared to me. I think the most intense physical pain Ive ever felt in my life was a few weeks ago when I had these spasms in my back that made me feel like something was squeezing my body like a vice. That was worse than any toothache Ive ever had, which was the next worse pain Ive ever felt. It turned out to be the chemo Im receiving for my lymphoma. Interestingly enough, the pain that brought me to hospital where I found I had lymphoma wasnt anywhere as bad as the pain from the chemo. Of course, it was just my bone marrow, and the doctor changed it so I didnt get it next time.

♥ In September 2006 a drunk driver hit my family. We had to be cut out of the car. I suffered an upper something back sprain & a lower back sprain. I was in bed for over 2 months unable to move [[or even breathe]] without hurting so horribly. In 1 month it will have been a year since the accident and I still have trouble with my back. I wouldnt wish the pain I felt on anybody.... it was unbearable.

♥ I'm sorry for all you've been through!

Natural childbirth and kidney stones I've had, but they don't compare to my worst pain......

The worst pain I ever felt was when I woke up in the recovery room after having had an emergency c-section. I woke up from general anesthesia with NO pain medication, and they were moving me around. It literally felt like my guts were being ripped from my body. I never want to feel that, or anything that bad, again.

Well even though I have had 2 kids, the worst pain I have ever felt was passing gallstones for 2 weeks before I went to the doctor, I had just had my daughter ( I had massive heartburn with her) so I just thought everything had yet to settle back, until one day I though I was having a heart attack, my chest hurt so bad! I couldn't breathe and went to the hospital and had my gallbladder removed the next day!

I haven't had anything that bad happen to me, but I did cut my head open on my sidetable- but that wasn't the painful part. The painful part was when they kept poking the numbing needle into the back of my head- it felt like they just kept going and going and going. I just wanted to turn around and yell "ARE YOU DONE YET?!" If felt like liquid fire.

Oh yeah I was 9. =P

After child birth, I would have to say that withdrawing from Narcotic pain medication would have to be the worst ever! Every single bone, hair, muscle...even my finger nails were in such pain. It was horrible and i never want to go through that again!

A year and a half ago I was stabbed 4 times in a bar in baltimore, I nearly bled to death and the wounds also got severly infected.

In my highschool chemistry class I accidentally made chlorine gas and it ate away the lining of my lungs and esophogus. I then caught Pneumonia.(this was like 5 or 6 yrs ago)

1. In high school I had surgery on an ingrown toenail and the doctor cut my toe open with a scapel and it wasn't numb yet.

2. 2 c-sections. Nuff said.
