I live in Central Oregon...very beautiful but we get these incredible dust "tornados". I have an aspen that is about 20 feet tall off of my front deck and it blew over and broke at the base. I noticed about 50 I guess you can call them "babies?" coming out of the ground now. I f I let them all push for the sky will I have a little forest there? They probably cover about 100sq ft. in all..anybody have experience with aspens? I don't want to mow them because I would like a bunch of aspens there. thanks

I don't know about a forest...While some of them will make it, others won't just because of natural causes like dust devils for instance.

Sure! They will go for the sky. It's your Aspen's mechanism to procreate its species. I love seeing them back lit and burnished in fall sunsets.
