My oil was a touch low and I accidentally put two cycle engine oil in my lawnmower. I didn't put that much in, maybe an ounce and I caught the mistake before starting the mower. Will changing the oil remedy the problem, or does it not really make a difference?

An ounce won't hurt it at all. Two cycle oil is thinner than 4 cycle motor oil. Changing the oil will completely fix the mistake.

Change the oil and all will be fine. The right oil is critical to air cooled engines, even more than it is for cars.

If it were any more then that, Id say definitly change it, that lil bit should just mix in with the rest of the oil. If youre really concerned, change it with fresh oil.

i WOULD CHANGE IT. eVEN A SMALL AMOUNT WILL THIN YOUR REGULAR OIL BELOW PROPER VISCOSITY LEVELS. 2 CYCLE OIL IS OF A DIFFERENT BASE THAN 4 CYCLE AS IT DOES NOT SEE THE PRESSURE LOADING OF 4 CYCLES.
