I am sitting here down loading photos of Quartz Druzy from Indonesia. I had a geologist tell me the fossil coral is 25 million years old but how about this micro-crystal quartz druzy. They are quite beautiful.

"Drusy" is a textural term we use to refer to euhedral quartz crystals projecting into a cavity. There is no relationship between age and the texture of quartz. There is also no relationship between "fossil coral" and quartz as they have very different origins.

You could easily establish a maximum age for the quartz crystals if you knew the age of the enclosing rock, but it wouldn't give you a minimum age.
