Actually outside a restaurant off campus after an Ohio State spring football game. Saw a guy passed out on a thin treelawn and legs dangling onto the road. Got him up and he nearly walked into traffic. He mumbled about trying to make a phone call on a pay phone in the place.
The sad thing is he had friends inside the restaurant, who only came outside after all this had played intself out.

I was in the local Stop-n-Rob around 2 am (free hot dog time if your room mate is the cashier) when a couple came in dressed very strangely for 2 am in Kansas. Leather pants, silk shirts, very long hair (on the guy) lots of tattoos and turquoise jewelry. They asked if it was OK for them to sit at the table and eat their own food. Joe (my roommate, the cashier) said sure. We started chatting with them. He asked if we'd ever heard of a band called Great White. I'd heard of them (this was 1988) but couldn't tell you who any of the band members were. He said that he was Jack Russell, the lead singer. Then he told us tall tales of getting out of DUI's by giving autographs. Then he asked if we knew where we could get our hands on some pot. Side item here; our little college town was all of ten blocks long and four blocks across.
A few weeks later I went to the nearest large town to do some shopping. I saw Great White's latest album on vinyl (yes this was before CD's hit big, and vinyl was still king!) and looked at the picture of the band on the back. He was NOT Jack Russell. He was the drummer. Lying little sack of .....

It was my birthday, and I had received a new phone. We dined at a restaurant that day. My phone rang for the first time. A friend of mine called to wish Happy Birthday. But the phone was on loud speaker and I was fiddling with it and trying to turn the volume down, but I didn't know how. I imagine that everyone must've heard our phone conversation, lol.

honestly, it was really embarrassing but I had a guy once flip out on me in a restaurant after he drank too much and it was definitely a one time event and the oddest I have ever had in a restaurant.
He and I were eating in one of the resort lounges after a friends wedding wrapped up in Hawaii, I said to him "I hope that we get married one day" and he went ballistic. He jumped up, started screaming at the top of his lungs "I don't want to marry you you f*cking *****" and then "You are f*cking nuts, you think I would share my money and life with someone? you f*cking nut job" etc.. this went on until I stormed out of the restaurant and caught the next plane home early the following morning.
That had to be the oddest experience (and life changing) for me. :)

It was a Chinese restaurant. The Japanese couple (I'm not making this up) behind my family was bitching about the waiter not being good enough for them. I don't remember specifically what they were complaining about, but they made a big deal out of it. They were yelling for about 30 minutes.

A small child at a table near us pulled his pants down, squatted and went poop right there on the floor. His parents weren't paying attention and didn't notice until it was too late.

I sent a Cosmo back because it was red (good Cosmos are pink) and told them to add more vodka. They sent it back looking like fruit punch again and asked me if that was better.
