I don't think it is being bad that is aspirational, it is being a rebel. Rebels have always been seen as cool, but that again is to miss the point. A lot of rebels were actually normal people acting in an original way. It was society that labelled originality as rebellion and made it cool.

Fame and fortune seem to follow those who are "bad" thus being good has no reward seen in the eyes of the media.

good and bad are categories of human morals, and human morals are generally stated by the majority of a society.

so, if you be concrete: good and bad are all just a fantasy, invented by the ruling elite to hold a people calm.

if you want to be more sophisticated or philosophic, then bad is the absence of good - a good (wo)man doing nothing is as bad a s a bad man doing evil.

Because we have grown up with the idea of being "good" from our parents, teachers, and religious leaders who all give us rules to follow in order to be "good." People would rather be "bad" because they think that trying to be "good" will take effort, and will take away their freedom to be themselves.
