mvp is most valuable player. not who is leading in homers. That being said Maggs is more valuable to the tigers than Arod is to the Yankees. Maggs has been consistent all season, and he is having the season of his career. his percentage with runners in scoring position is insane too.

The MVP race this year is going to be very close. The main race is between Maggs and A-Rod. Even though I am a die-hard Yankee fan, I have to give my vote to MAggs. He is having one hell of a year. Although A-Rod is leading pretty much all the batting categories in the AL, except AVG., Maggs has been the more consistent player throughout. A-Rod started off hot and then cooled down and then heated up again. Maggs, on the other hand, started hot and has stayed hot. He is the MVP.

That is a hard question. But I'm going to have to go with Magglio Ordonez. Even though Alex Rodriguez is dominating, Magglio has gotten 2 straight two home run games. A-Rod has gotten multi-homer games, but not consecutively! Final Answer: Magglio Ordonez

It's going to be Arod, his numbers are astronomical and he is going to help get the Yankees back into the playoffs. Magglio is having a great year but Arod is having like the best offensive year in a long long time.

I vote Maggs right now he is single handedly carrying a slumping Tigers team right now. The guy is putting up monster numbers and even though A-Rod is having a great season if you take Magglio out of the Detroit lineup right now it would devastate them. Also if they win the division that would solidify Maggs for sure. Go Tigers!!!

Depends, I think only one of those teams will make the playoffs, if either which will make all the difference.

At this point in time I would say neither based on the need for your team to make the playoffs. Also, if both teams happen to make the playoffs it will depend on who puts up the best last couple weeks of the season. The voters are fickle and if someone comes up with some really big hits in the last couple weeks it will help their case immensley. Both have really great numbers so that last push will be very important if they are both in contention for it.

I agree Jen. Magglio should get it... He leads A-Rod in more stats to this point in the season.

Magglio is more valuable to the Tigers than A-Rod is to the Yankees. But numbers is what they look at and A-Rod's (except BA) are outstanding.
A-Rod will be the MVP.
