Video poker is just that. Instead of playing poker against someone else, you play it against a computer. They are touch screens, usually imbedded in the bar. Minimum bet is usually a quarter per hand, but you can still burn through 20 bucks pretty quickly. The bar maid will give you free drinks while you are gambling, so if you play slowly and drink fast can get a pretty good return on the drink end. Overall, if you like to drink for free, this is the best bang for the buck. Slots are also cheap, including some all the way down to a nickel, and you also get free drinks there. Problem with that is that it's roaming waitresses, so unless you are pushy with them will probably not get waited on at all or only get about a drink an hour. If you tip well ($2 or more) you'll get more drinks and faster service. Many of the casinos do have sports bars and betting on sports, but don't expect to see the game. If you do, it will be on a little tiny monitor, as they carry every major world sport at the same time. Big screens are reserved for real time odds for placing bets. It's not a place to relax and watch the game. You'd be better off finding a plain old sports bar in the yellow pages when you get there. Yes, you can get by on a $100 a day and have a good time if you stick to slots and video poker. Eating there is cheap if you look around. For quick cheap eats, try Uncle Joe's Pizza on Fremont St. (older but cheaper part of town). 2 slices of pizza and a drink or pasta and drink for $4. Gold Coast also has 75 cent hotdogs at lunchtime.

Take as much money as you can get your hands on. Everyone wins a lot of money in Vegas. Be sure and tell them it's your first time. They will go easy on you. Drinks are free drink as many as you can. Have a great time.

Depends entirely on your budget. Plan to lose what ever you budget for gambling as entertainment. Do not expect to win—though you might. At the tables there used to be lots of free drinks if you gave the server a chip or two. Good luck and enjoy!!

Its going to be very subjective - what kind of dining, shows and clubs?? Assuming your travel and hotel costs are already covered, I would say you should budget ~$1500 would let you have a fairly comfortable time Are you actually bringing that kind of cash, though?? Vegas does accept debit/credit cards......

If you are betting on sports and drinking.... Depending on your amounts you bet, may need more! Drinking is not cheap in the real nice locations. I would go to Imperial Palace. Their drinks are cheap, sports book nice.
