That is not a correct definition, but it sounds that you rely too heavily on the other person. People need to feel secure in themselves, not seek a significant other to be the cure for their problems, such as loneliness or low self esteem. If we look to the other person to fill ALL our needs, emotional and otherwise, we will drain them!! It's better to receive these things from a relationship with your Creator (God!) then to expect the other person to be your "savior".
Salvation can be physical, spiritual, emotional....

The word Salvation means, strictly, deliverance; and so it is used of temporal deliverance, victory, in Ge 14:13; 1Sa 14:45. But as the spiritual deliverance from sin and death, through the Redeemer Jesus Christ, Mt 1:21, is a far greater salvation, so this word has come to be used mostly only in this moral and spiritual sense; and implies not only this deliverance, but also the consequences of it, namely, eternal life and happiness in the kingdom of our Lord, 2Co 7:10; Eph 1:13. It is most justly described as a "great salvation," Heb 2:3. I hope this helps you. God Bless You.

Salvation is a way of relying oneself through Divine Intervention. Personal relationship to another person must not be relied more upon salvation. It is a personal thing that you can only be the one to look for a solution. Emotional problem do happen between two lovers but solutions to this lies between them. She could not totally rely it solely through Salvation.

I think salvation needs to be sought within ourselves.... there is no place for anyone except perhaps God between our salvation and us. I have always believed that the path to salvation is not only deceptively curved but also lonely.

I don't get it.....but this did go through my heart and mind....in this world everyone seems to want everybody else to be "self dependant" to have the ability to rely on no-one, to be able to stand on their own, and yet, and the same time, to have friends, family, etc. very confusing.....I like the song "Lean on Me", and other relationship songs just like it. I like words like trust and depend, because it means "someone else" other than me... sharing the "burden" is cool, if this means that the other person in my life is the person who i happen to look to for my "salvation," the person whom i love and cherish? or people i would trust with my soul? so be it! If they are like "family to me, even if they are not "blood" or even if they are of a differant skin color, what do i care? It's what is in our "hearts", not what is contained in the words others might say.... when the souls of people are knit together...my God, how Beautiful! People "need People" isn't that one of the reasons we are typing here on the internet? The people who are around you in real life are the most important...lol...lol...

To be saved from the consequences of sin - eternal death. Jesus made himself a sacrifice for us so that if we truly believe in him and in the LORD God his father we may be judged worthy of a place in God's Kingdom. But, we do have to be as obedient as we can. Firstly, by being baptised in water (not sprinkling) following the example that Jesus himself gave us. Jesus told his disciples on more than one occasion what would befall him, falling into the hands of sinful men and the Crucifixion, but they didn't understand until afterwards the amazing things they had witnessed. Jesus died for us not instead of us, we all do die and remain in the grave until Jesus returns and, God willing, we are given eternal life. Faith in God and His grace is essential to salvation. The Bible speaks to us of Jesus as our mediator and great high priest. When Jesus returns it will be as King over all the earth. The new Jerusalem coming down from heaven in the book of Revelation. May I recommend that you get a Strong's Bible Concordance or a Young's, both are good and will help you find Bible verses on any Scriptural point. May I wish you the blessing of understanding more of God's inspired word. xx

Salvation is when you don't expect, but do receive support.
For example , when the whole world has gone "Pear shaped"
and you are in dreadfull difficulties and you try to explain this as easily as possible to your Wife and she says "Don't worry,
we'll survive".
That is not only Salvation, it is Love.

Salvation is to save. To save something means to make it eternal. Perhaps it is already eternal and it is just the recognition of this that is salvation.

It's a personal experience, commitment, acceptance of grace that given to all...yet only those who believe will benefit from it...it goes beyond what is known to physics, it is assurance beyond the grave.
