I'm having such a hard time finding a third set of fish to put in my tank! My tank is 30 gallon and I have 2 gouramis(dwarf and a gold) and 3 angel fish. Each fish is about 1.5 inches long. I really don't want tetra because they aren't very attractive to me (sorry tetra lovers!) unless there is a species with more vibrant colors. If someone could give me suggestions, I'd appreciate it!

I have been a hobbiest of fish(salt&fresh water) for about 20years now. Angel fish are very picky when it come to water quality and gouramis can be aggressive. So be very careful with space in your aquarium. I have a 75 gallon. But for your answer try australian rainbows fish .They are multi-colored and as they grow their colors become more dominant. They are very good society fish. they school very well. All of your fish are not "live eaters". Just flake right? Try some danios, or silver dollars. Just be careful on the water quality and temperature with more than 5 fish in a 30 gallon. If you have any questions about what can go togetther or tolerate eachother. It's best to ask where you get your fish. But, what I've told you about should be safe.

whoever said clown fish and goldfish is wrong. Clownfish are saltwater, and goldfish are cold water. I have a gourami and an angel in a 55 gallon tank. You could put in tricolor sharks, or iridescent sharks.

different gouramis maybe? i have pearl gouramis, sunset honey gouramis, rasboras (much better than tetras) and a betta. i don't think a betta and angels would be a good idea though.

magicman (that guy up there at the top) has a tank of pearl gouramis and angelfish -- pretty sweet tank i would think.

gold gouramis are a color variant of blue gouramis -- they also come spotted, platinum, opalescent, i think more.

there are 3 variants of dwarfs too!
