If he takes the plea bargain, he needs to come out and do a press conference with his family next to him and cry his eyes out. I mean the real type of cry. The type that makes your nose run and your eyes burn when you get done (Like that Michael Irvin one) We are a very forgiving country and I am sure if he does that and maybe donates some money to PETA most people will forgive him. Agree?

If you hope Michael Vick never plays ball again, what if a player hit his wife or was involved in a murder case?

Michael Vick has been targeted. Not because is black, but because he is a highly paid influential athlete/celebrity. Especially considering his image, and the fact that some of his income is determinant upon his marketability, his situation should not have been so publicly broadcast. He is still innocent and should not be punished until proven guilty. He doesn’t work with animals, so he should not be banned from coming to work. It’s not putting anyone in jeopardy. He’s not even a flight risk and you all make it out as though is utterly despicable.
When he is found guilty, have at him; but now that his name tarnished by hypocrites of the judicial system (guilty til proven innocent) and ideological extremist regimes (PETA, ASPCA, LCA, et al.) he has already been ostracized by the sports community. The NFL, already with a stringent commissioner already concerned about the Leagues image, is forced to act before he can even make a fair and proper assessment. Many people have already tried Vick, even though he doesn’t appear until Nov. 26. He should be free to carry on with his normal endeavors until that date.
This isn’t about justice, punishment, innocence, or guilt; it’s about heedlessly locating a $130 million face for your case or ulterior schema. I’m not pronouncing him innocent, I’m not a judge, but no matter what outcome this has become a travesty. We will NEVER
know whether he is guilty or innocent at this point. He has enough money to walk, were there not so much strain on him and potential financial risk, then he may have either underestimated the severity or been to preoccupied with other things (like playing football) and result in possible conviction. There is way too much pressure on the other side for a conviction; it is already unmistakable that confirmation bias is already present. This could also lead to a miscarriage of justice. Then look at your witnesses! These people are bunch of malefactors who were supposed to be his codefendants. How can you consider them friends of his? He buys them a house and funds an operation presented to him as kennel for raising dogs, and flip on him, every last one. They are the ones who are guilty, admittedly. However, if they include Vick in their testimony, they get lighter sentences. Why wouldn’t a scoundrel who tortures and electrocutes animals tell a lie?
With the money on side, the public pressure on the other side, and dogs who can’t talk trained by a bunch damn hooligan thugs with no sense of loyalty; I presume there is no way to determine if the outcome of the trial is going to be justice. This is even if there is a trial, at this point whether guilty or innocent it is more logical to plea bargain. If I were innocent and everyone except my momma and coach predetermined I was guilty and I had a hard time presenting evidence to refute the false claims, I would cop plea in a second innocent or not. Going to trial would be crazy against these zealots. Cop a plea, hurry up, and get back out on the field. Everyone has made too big of a deal about this and it got **** to do with football. Not even one NFL team has a dog as a mascot for Pete’s sake. The PETA will not forgive him; remember they would not even approve medical testing on animals even if it produced a cure for AIDS. However, they will accept his apology and any donations because they would be conducive to their cause.

Crying only works for certain famous people.
It won't work in Vick's case because most people have already convicted him from day one.
Funny how everyone bags on Vick (I'm not a fan of his either) but the likes of Paris Hilton (habitual law breaker), Nicole Ritchie (ditto), Britney Spears, & Lindsay Lohan only seem to get more popular and lose no supporters for their antics.
Paris & Nicole's show didn't get cancelled yet both have served jail time & have been in and out of rehab. Hmmmm.

I hope he doesn't take the plea bargain and the system hits him with every charge imaginable. He acted like an arrogant punk when he said "It OK, everybody loves Michael Vick, everything will work out", when he knew damn well what was going on. Celeb status won't get you out of everything. Personally, I'd rather see him do a 20 man battle royal with 19 other pit bulls with all 19 of the dogs focusing their aggression on him, but I just don't see that happening.

I think Vick's afraid too, I think he knows he can't beat The Titans so he wants Kolb to lose to them. I think Vick might be hyped up a bit, and he is scared of The Titans. Vick has only beat cruddy teams this year while Kolb and The Eagles beat The Falcons. Vick beat the crappy lions and crappy jaguars, Kolbs resume is more impressive!

Vick deserves to go to hell and burn. I'm no animal activist, but I do know that this is something that would only happen to a black player. I heard on the news this morning that these dog fights happen everyday, and that may be true, but I can guarantee you that 95% of participants are black. In every league all the problems are around black players who went from rags to riches and dont have the brains to have riches. Making it rain and killin dogs is a part of culture, a culture that needs to learn to get it together and clean up their act. Its getting old.

I personally thinks Kobe is scum. As for the all the starlets out there breaking the law I think they should be punished severely. As for Vick taking a plea deal he is admitting he was involved and there for should be thrown in jail and banned from the NFL for life! Dog fighting is absolutely disgusting and the people who take part in it are total scum. I think they are 1 step below murders, rapist and child molesters. I think a fitting punishment would be to tie some meat on them and turn the dogs on them!!!

I hope he rots in jail and is never allowed to play ball again. And I hope this sends a message to other dog fighting promoters out there, it is a felony and you will be punished. I don't think his celeb status is going to save him.

I think some people will forgive him, but his career and image will be forever tarnished. He'll never get any endorsement deals with companies like Nike or Reebok ever again.

disagree. i think he is using his "i'm famous and will get of it" attitude. forget that. fighting dogs is a felony. i hope he goes down and gets banned. total crap. however i was an animal control officer for 4 years so my opinion will be a lot different then most. i had to deal with that crap on a normal basis. people take dogs and animals for granted. i'm not going on to that topic but i hope he goes down.
