Really it is truely a matter of your opnion. Both games have free demos now a days, so try them both and stick with the one that suits you better.
Remember World of Warcraft cost $15 a month extra; but Guild Wars is going to change to Guild Wars 2 in about a year and a half. (Though I know they won't abandon GW1.)
Guild Wars:
+Lower level cap
+No monthly fee
+More balanced PVP
+More PVP options
+More flexible characters
+More flexible character creation
+More skills (total, a character can have hundreds of skills, but can only use 8 at a time.)
+Instanced areas
+Computerized minions to fill out a party.
+Special guild hangout
-Fewer items
-Fewer quests
-No heal potions
-Fewer armor designs (one game has a max of 8 styles with 4 of them being prestige versions. But you can customize your armor color.)
-No inbuilt mail system, you can only talk to and trade with characters online.
-Instanced areas make creating and keeping groups together harder.
-No real craft system
-No auction house
-Lower level cap
World of Warcraft
+Lots more items and armor looks
+Can equip many different skills
+Higher level cap
+More quests (but many are just make time quest with little reward)
+Can choose a race
+More PVE content
+Larger world
+Craft system
+Mail and the auction house
+More players
-Can't trade between players on different servers
-PVP is dominated by people with superior equipment
-No guild halls
-Fewer character customization options (which are largely meaningless after you can wear helmets anyway.)
-Monthly Fee
-Since you can only have one class at a time, equipment and level is all that keeps characters of the same class from being more or less identical.
-Lots of spammers and gold farmers

Ok, guild wars is a pretty good game and it's free, WoW is a 10 times better game but it has a monthly subscription, so it really depends on wether you are ok with paying $15 a month
I personally like World of Warcraft better because you can can to a higher level and stuff like that, i think guild wars is a game more suited for little kids, where as wow should be for people 13+
so i would suggest getting wow because it's better

Personally, I prefer GW. Actually you're the first person I've heard say that they like WoW's graphics better. Most folks say that GW has waayyyy better graphics, but WoW has more content.
If you don't mind the $15 per month fee for WoW, then go ahead and try it. You've played GW before so you know what that game is like (although if it's been awhile there is a lot more content now). Try both games and decide for yourself which you prefer.

WoW has more playability, I think. There is PVP (maybe not as good as GW, but if you don't like it, don't do it), quests (and regardless of what others said, you can quest from 1 to 70 and never grind), and better graphics. If you don't want to get attacked when you walk around, don't join a PVP server; very simple. You don't need to grind for rep if you don't care about the rewards you get. You don't need to group up (probably the reason I play WoW instead of GW) and you can solo your way to 70 without ever grouping. The only dealbreaker for some people is the price. If you don't want to pay $15.00 a month, go with GW. But remember: you can either get a month's worth of MMORPG fun for $15.00, or you can go see two movies. Which one is better for you?

One thing you want to ask yourself is if you want to pay a monthly fee. Guild Wars in no monthly fee, but expenesive updates where WoW is a monthly fee and inexpensive updates. I have played both. I would take WoW. I don't know I didn't like how the world map as an instance that you needed to invite people to join you for them to get into it. The object of an MMO is that you want to interact with people. I don't know if i just wasn't into GW enough to really get involved in the multiplayer part, but it seems like you could get lost going solo way to easy. On the flip side there are a lot of 12 year old nerds with the social skills of an avacodo that think they are all tough **** because they are level 60 and they stand outside the protected terriroies waiting to kill the first lvl 10 who mistakenly step over the boarder. It is kinda pathetic in that aspect.

you can always play the free trial for WoW, however, i personally played both, I like guild wars alot more, sure grouping can get annoying and the armour system blows, but the pvp is still REALLY REALLY fun, much more fun than anything WoW has to offer, to the guy who answered after me, lmao guild wars is not a game for under 13, i know a hell of a lot more little kids that play WoW than guild wars, WoW honestly is a piece of ****, i mean come on, you grind for countless hours to get rep with a place so that you can get a recipe, or you run out of quests and grind for hours to get a levelup, i mean come on, thats no fun, the pvp is mediocre in it..... i like guild wars pvp much much much better

The world of MMO (Massively Multiplayer Online) gaming can be quite daunting for newcomers. If you’ve never played such a gaming title in the past, you could be forgiven for feeling more than a little overawed. You’re suddenly surrounded by thousands of gamers, all of which seem to know exactly what to do, and precisely what’s going to need to be done to beat the game. So taking into account the cost of the initial purchase, plus the required monthly subscription, most seem happy to continue getting their multiplayer action on their home consoles.
But here comes Guild Wars from NCsoft. Now Guild Wars is quite a different beast from the likes of World of Warcraft or Everquest. While these games rely on monthly subscriptions to cover all kinds of costs, with Guild Wars you never pay anything more than the initial purchase in your local gaming emporium. Again, where the other big hitters in the genre require incredible numbers of hours put in, in order to get to any kind of decent in game level, Guild Wars requires you to display your intelligence and skill. With the in game level cap set at 20, which is reachable in quite speedy time, your own skill is required if your going to ‘beat’ the game.
hope the site can help u

I have played both. If you can afford the $15/month, get WoW if not, GW. WoW is a hell of a lot better though
