While both are critical to me staying alive...I much prefer breathing out, especially when your around someone smelly and don't necessarily care too much to breathe in.

Silly we have to do both as a natural reaction. In the park i like to breath in the lovely fresh air.

Breathing out , I have lung disease and I breath in OK it's breathing out the stale air that is more difficult for me .

i don't know breathing in you could breath in poisonous gases and stuff like pollution, second hand smoke, etc which can be harmful.

.....and breathing out you get rid of the carbon dioxide.
