so many critics, i doubt very much they even know what a brilliant voice he had, opera singers the world over wished they had a voice like him. he was the inspiration for so many singers. he could sing anything from rock-n-roll to ballads to gospel to blues to country. the world will never see another like him. i defy anyone to mention the first birth name of any entertainer in history who will be instantly recognised, he will be remembered as long as there is people on this earth. far too many of todays artists cannot perform live on stage,they all mime to their so called songs because they would not sell a single c.d. so all you d***h***s out there go listen to an elvis song and hear the best singing voice ever. [ remember first birth name ] not a nickname

My worry is that he won't stay dead. Every time I see an Elvis impersonate advertised I have to check it's not him come back. I also check out the chip shop on a regular basis.

Like him or loathe him he did bring the music from the ghetto's and churches to the radio stations and changed the face of music forever.....30 years.. gone in a flash....shame the way it ended for him......
