I remember that day well, could not understand why alot of women were walking around crying everywhere i went. Had not had tv or radio on to hear about it. I thought what the world ending or something till i was told.

Yes, it was, I was on a ferry going to Jersey when I heard the news about his death. It was sad, all that talent, he would have most likely still be singing if he had looked after himself. Col. Parker must take a lot of the blame. With hindsight he was not a good manager or mentor to Elvis

I forgot it's been 30 years.
Now you have me wondering, what did they do with the toilet he died on? Is it in a museum or on display at Graceland? Or is there someplace for a couple of bucks you can sit on the King's last throne?

The aniversary is tomorrow can't belive it is 30yrs though, that makes me feel old, can anyone remember what the were doing when he died, I was on holiday with my parents and it was a very hot summer in the uk
