It is really super that you all feel this way here and have found each other and have a place to be, I have a lot of problems with this place, but I am still glad for you all. Hope each and everyone of you are having a great day.

I think you can learn form other peoples experiences when you ask questions. I think it helps me out almost every day. I stick around now because I am addicted to it and want to help other people as well.

Interaction with other people; that's why I'm here. I'm learning so much, and makes me feel good in this world where people don't listen, I can give advice and I don't need to know if they really care for the answer; I can believe they do and makes me feel a little more important than what my present life is giving me right now. Quit my job of 9 years, trying to find a house away from here, and hubby changed jobs; so this is my way of escape from my real world for awhile. AND in a world full of so much suffering and turmoil, doesn't it feel good that we can be there for some of them?

I live in a very small city. In some countries, it would probably be considered a large town. Because it's so small, I find people tend to think the same way about things in general. Yahoo Answers lets me see what people in other areas are thinking and doing. It's one way of keeping connected with the whole wide world.

The other day, a kid was feeling really down about not having a girlfriend...I cheered him up by humorously pointing out the "bad" side of having a girlfriend...he thanked me, and said I really helped him...and THAT is not the only time I've helped someone...

On the flip side...people have helped me. I'm human, too, and a lot of really cool people on here have cheered me up, showed me a new way of looking at things, and basically enjoyed my online company, and I enjoyed theirs...what more can you ask for from a website...

It's also informative, shocking (I'm really into THAT), thought-provoking, interesting, insight-giving, sometimes outrageous, sometimes heart-breaking, sometimes heart-warming, sometimes bizarre and deeply disturbing (I'm really into those, too...sexy, erotic, ball-busting, a slap in the face (wakes ya' up), and just something to do when there's nothing to do...

And most important...it gives you exposure to a wide range of different people, different religions, different cultures, different political views, and different everything...which is a "good" thing...keeps ya' balanced & throws ya' off-balance (also sometimes a good thing...)

Best online "people interaction" idea ever, in my opinion...infinitely better than stupid chat rooms of inane and fruitless dialogue among total strangers who think it's funny to rip people to shreds...

I love it...

Believe it or not, some people are here to find reason. Others are here to help. I am of the latter.

My hope is that either I can use my wisdom to share insight or make someone laugh at my sarcastic humor. Communication, for the sake of knowledge, be it between family and friends or pure strangers, is always better than silence.

1. Many people do not realize that they could always have gotten their questions answers from libraries.

2. It's addictive. Also, being a librarian I am going to try harder to answer questions especially since some people really do not answer questions, but have a reply for the point. Plus, it's practice and a challenge.

The use is that you can find answers quicker than if you typed it into google or any other search engine and it will be answered in an easily understandable way. It's important because without asking questions, how will you know the answer?

I like learning from other people and hope I might have some little intelligence in answering some of their questions. Like everyone has said its additive but fun passtime.
