In the late 70's in Florida, the was a chain of theaters that offered pizza, hot dogs, nachos, etc beer and soda served at tables around which were four easy chairs. I think the chairs had speakers in the headrest. I saw any number of pics there; the theaters were clean, the servers friendly, the seats comfortable. I always regretted that they fizzled out! They came out just as home video was beginning (I lived there [Orlando] in 1977-78) and I guess they couldn't compete!

When I lived in Tampa FL there were a few cinema draft houses that were theaters but were set up with tables and served food and beer. Was definitely a neat way to go.

There was one in Saginaw, MI when I lived there 15+ years ago called Cinema & Suds that had that. There is also the Uptown Palladium in Birmingham, MI that has a 'VIP' theater which serves meals in the theater.
