I think 3/8, but check a shop manual. Also get a socket for it. The allen wrench is not a good idea, can't get enough leverage on it to loosen the bolts. Can get these sockets at any parts store or a place that sells tools, like a Sears. The Craftsmans would be the best bet, lifetime warranty.

What kind of Chevy? For an S-10, 3/8 hex bit, 92 Lumina, caliper bolts are 15 MM, torque plate bolts are T-55 torx bit; 92 Lumina APV, your guess is as good as mine since I never have done brakes on that year model vehicle.

Be very careful here as the Allen wrenches your speaking of are metric. I'm betting that the countersunk drive holes are actually Torex drive. If the dirve holes are star shaped that's what you have. NAPA, Car Quest and your Chevy dealer parts counter can tell you exactly what size they are.
We don't have enough information conserning the year make and model. I'd be "shooting from thre hip" if I gave any type of answer.
From where I'm setting either a #35 or #40 Torex drive in a 3/8 drive socket is a fair guess.

The squeak from disk brakes are in many circumstances brought about with the aid of a dry steel plate it somewhat is located in the back of the pad to end stones and grit. Ask the storage (in the event that they have not completed this) in the event that they might placed some copper grease between the plate and pad for you. It takes seconds with the wheels off so it would possibly no longer value a quantity pounds.
