When you get best answer do you go back and read the comments ? Do you leave comments ?

I do my very best to read those comments! They sometimes make me laugh and are often fun to read.

When one of my answers is chosen as best, I re-open the question to read the comment the asker may have left for me and other users. And then I leave a little "thank you" note in the comment box. It is very regrettable that most askers never find out about the comments a user may have left after the question was closed, because I also sometimes use the occasion to clarify my answer a little further if I get the impression it is needed. One example: a German user posted the link to a comedy sound file, it was a funny remake of "snowwhite", and she wanted to know who the guys where speaking the different roles. I happened to know for a fact that it was a local Punk band which mixes their live acts with comedy all the time, so I posted the name of the band and even a link to their home page. The asker didn't believe me, but awarded me with the BA because she said my answer was "hilarious and creative"! She didn't allow mail contact, so I used the comments box to tell her that my answer was indeed telling the truth - don't know whether she ever got that message...:-(

Yes, I do. I love getting feedback from other people and also learning how I could improve my approach to a certain type of question, so I'll be better prepared to get the best answer next time too!

Always. I don't usually leave em though. I figure once someone has picked a best answer, they don't go back to the question anymore, so whats the point?

I do. At first I didn't, but there are some people who you can't reach via email, so I started posting comments on the questions instead. It seems to be working.

I like to find what comment they left. and yes I have add the odd comment on a few.

Some times I do; other times I will send the person an e mail to thank them, also to get to know them better. A lot of people however, do not have an e mail address posted.
