Is the US an angel - NO. Do we try to use reason - most of the time. Is doing something in GOD's name good - debatable - Look at the people that cut off peoples heads in the name of GOD.

It took the US about 15 years to go from the Declaration of Independence to having a Constitution. The American Revolution worked, but it could be debated that the French Revolution didn't. Yes, the French had a young model to work off of, but that doesn't mean it transfers easily.

We are very naive to thing that Democracy isn't a very disruptive idea. For many they think it is a kin to anarchy, still others equate it to mob rule. At best it takes to step back and ask how as a group can we achieve a win win out come. Most people have been trained in thinking Win/Lose is the only posable out come.

The main delta between the 1st world & the 3rd world is the 1st world has used what ever wealth they had in the begainning & installed infrastructure. Both the rich & poor can use this infrastructure to further create weath. The 3rd world used their wealth to gain immediate gradification.

i dont think you or anyone can prove that the US is the instigator of terror maybe we should just surrender now and let the terrorist win so when the Internet is shut down, woman are forced to wear Muslim outfits, everyone including the atheist are forced to convert to a Muslim, gays are shot, free press is shut down, civil liberties are taken away and general going back to living like the middle east with constant family family wars can start and we will be all happy right?

can you imagine if you were an Inca and the Spanish came along. Your way of life would have been determined by the values of Spain and the Catholic Church...would you stand up and defy them? They did.

Cultures have a history of destroying other cultures and crying out, "It's God's will that they are destroyed". You can't blame them for defending their way of life. I really wish the US would divest themselves from policing the world and start worrying about our own problems.

Biggest reactor to terror, sure. Planes attack us we attack them full on. We didn't instigate we reacted. Thats a big difference.
