Demolition may have been a knock off of LOD but they were still a damned good tag team.

The Road Warriors are the best tag team in the history of wrestling. They have held the titles in AWA, NWA, WWF, NPJW (Japan) & many, many regional titles in their day.
The Road Warriors were the first tag team to sell out arenas. That was & is unheard of in wrestling.
The Road Warriors brought in the face paint look. They were the first wrestlers to implement face paint & make it popular. Above all, the Road Warriors wrestled nearly all of the greatest tag teams of the generation.
Demolition was created by Vince McMahon to capitolize on the popularity of LOD. And they did. Demolition was more than a mere ripoff of the Road Warriors though. Demolition had substance & functioned extremely well. There run in the WWF was excellent & they more than cemented their place in history as one of the better tag teams of all time.
In a head to head match, The Road Warriors would have to be the team to win because they are & will always be the tag team that all tag teams will be compared to.

The LOD were better wrestlers using more movie( going to the top rope) They were also in better shape have muscular builds instead of bulk. These teams did face each other w/LOD coming out on top. They were the baby faces (good guys) with faces only a mother could love. LOL
PS I hated when they had to change their name when the went to WWF b/c of the Ultimate Warrior Vince pulled the same bull sh-t with Kerry Von Erich who had to change his name from the Modern Day Warrior to the Texas Tornado

Demolition was Vinnie's knockoffs of the originals....Road Warriors were the baddest tag team in the U.S. and Japan for a number of years. In a shoot, I would still take LOD.
