Oh, brother... my family's got so many
Don't let a stranger touch your childs head, bad luck to the child. If someone is jealous of you for any reason, willingly or unwillingly they will put the "evil eye" on you and you will get a crippling headache. (many people then call on the matriarch of my family to remove said curse) Don't hand your spouse scissors or a knife, you have to put it down and have the other pick it up. Dont sweep when a loved one is traveling on a plane. (maybe its vacuum, i dont remember) Spit when someone compliments a child, as this keeps evil away if they were meaning harm to the child. That's just a few!

If you get caught up completely on the laundry, someone will get sick, putting you behind again.
If you change the sheets (and therefore generate more dirty laundry), that will keep this "jinx" from happening.

My mom thinks that we are not supposed to eat egg or shampoo our hair on Tuesdays or Thursdays. It's supposedly "harmful" for brothers.

My mother believes crysanthenums are evil, they all do in Italy. I bought her some once not knowing what they were and she freaked.
