here's my top 10 and why...
1. LT
2. LJ
3. S. Jackson
4. S. Alexander
5. Rudi Johnson
6. Frank Gore
7. Joseph Addai
8. Laurence Maroney
9. Willie Parker
10. Peyton Manning
LT is #1, pretty standard. I would pick LJ over Stephen Jackson just for the fact that LJ has shown what he can do and Stephen Jackson being this high is based on (though I think it is accurate) speculation.
When people put Frank Gore 4th it drives me nuts, but I also enjoy it when I am drafting. I am not going to go into full detail on why I would pick Alexander first (if you really want to know search for that question on here, odds are ive answered it) but basically its because Frank Gore has again shown us one good year. You need someone you know you can count on with your first round pick.
I also consider Rudi before Gore because of Rudi's weekly consistancy, but Gore slips in just after that because of his tremendous upside.
I see Addai and Maroney as fairly interchangable. Both are young players that are in potentially great offenses. I would probably take Addai first in a draft just because I would have a chance to snag both of them when the 2nd round snakes around. Maroney is going to be a touchdown machine this year and I wouldnt be surprised if he is the Stephen Jackson of next year. They are so similar its scary.
Willie Parker at nine just ends what I consider the "top tier" of running backs. I see a big dropoff after this to the second tier which is headed by MJD and Travis Henry.
This is also the reason why Peyton is no higher than 10th. He is by far the best QB, but unless you pick him, it really does not matter for the most part which QB you end up with. Conversely, at the RB spot if you don't land a top tier guy you are in terrible shape. Peyton will score the most fantasy points this year, but you have to consider the points relative to the position. Of the top 10 point scorers for the season, QB's will likely occupy 8 of those spots. And you can get one of those 8 guys rounds and rounds later.
Value is the key in fantasy football drafts.

Actually, I'd think about putting guys like Alexander and Gore even before LJ and a few other backs before Manning, unless it's 6pts/ passing TD. LJ will get signed (they always do), but if I owned him I'd be terrified that the offensive line is just getting older and older.
