Well it's not illegal to batter a fish but I'm not to sure on the law of cheese graters,so be careful & keep it to yourself,i don't believe I'm even answering this question because i don't know whos more crazy ME or YOU,haha

No. It is illegal, however, to whack someone repeatedly over the head with a cheese grater. I would know :(

Yes. I hope no-one finds out cos I did it to make shortbread. If that's what you're doing, use the coarsest side or it'll turn into one big buttery mess...

No,not illegal,but make sure the butter is frozen first,or you may lose a few fingers,lol.
But if it is illegal,does that mean using a nutmeg grater to grate cannibis is also???

i do it all the time if its a block of hard butter and im making a cake or biscuits or something were the butter/lard has to be soft!

i sometimes use chocolate and grate it..
the grated chocolate is gorogeous on top of icream

It's not illegal, but watch your fingers. Those graters are lethal to knuckles.

I'm pretty sure it's not illegal. I guess you could use one on butter if you froze the butter first although I can't imagine why you'd want to.

I think it is the butter would be able to sue or press charges if it could talk but I won't tell if you don't lol.

No, actually freezing a stick of butter then grating it into biscuit dough is a very common practice.

it is in 42 of our wonderful 48 states.
i fail to see ohio and washington dc as ACTUAL states.
ohio are all like "tank tops 7/24"
and washington dc are all like "let's have a president stay at our 'house'" more like mouse! because it's so small!
i know.
i crack myself up.
